Singh’s visit aimed at closer ties with Myanmar

Gateway House's Ambassador Neelam Deo was quoted in an article by Live Mint on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's first visit to a democratized Myanmar . Deo stated that this visit will consolidate the heightened engagement that India has carefully constructed with Myanmar since the late 1990s."

Petit, not grand geste on India-Pakistan

Asif Ali Zardari, who previously made sound pronouncements on Indo-Pakistan ties, will soon be the first Pakistani President to visit India since 2005.
