Gateway House is hosting the India-Japan Dialogue in Mumbai on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. This dialogue is being co-hosted with Japanese think tanks – Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), Institute for International Monetary Affairs (IIMA) and Japan Institute for International Affairs (JIIA) and the Indian think tank, Delhi Policy Group (DPG).

This India-Japan Dialogue is a continuation of the spirit of hosting bilateral meetings with counterpart think tanks and research institutions in Japan to explore areas of mutual collaboration and concerns. This dialogue aims to focus on geoeconomic issues related to energy, infrastructure and technology, as well as geopolitical issues related to global governance and the Indo-Pacific.

Morning Keynote Session
Topic: Japan and India 

Objective: This opening session will be dedicated to understanding India-Japan bilateral relations.

Geoeconomics Session
Topic: Exploring collaboration in Energy, Technology, Infrastructure

Objective: To explore how India and Japan can further strengthen their bilateral economic engagement by focusing on opportunities in energy, technology, infrastructure sectors.

Geopolitics Session
Topic: Global Governance and the Indo-Pacific

Objective: To discuss the security and geopolitical imperatives for both nations
