Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations is a foreign policy think-tank established in Mumbai in 2009. We are an independent, non-partisan, membership-based organisation based on intellectual scholarship. We are loosely modelled on the Council on Foreign Relations, New York, U.S.

In order to give our members an in-depth and holistic understanding of international affairs and India’s foreign policy, Gateway House focuses on three important areas scholarship, events and outreach.

Along with access to scholarly papers and events with corporate leaders, visiting dignitaries, ambassadors and heads of state or government, Gateway House also provides its members with a platform to meet like-minded individuals and develop an informed opinion about important issues being debated by the international community. Gateway House Meetings, a forum through which members, global leaders, prominent thinkers, corporations, diplomats, scholars and state administrators can debate India’s foreign policy are a regular occurrence. Gateway House has hosted several meetings with influential foreign policy opinion makers and leaders from around the world. Most Gateway House meetings are completely off-the record and not for attribution. We believe that this private environment enables our members and speakers to be completely candid and make the most of their time together.

Our current membership includes individuals, corporations and institutions interested in analysing world affairs. Moreover, our membership program has four tiers – Corporate, Associate, Individual and Term. The membership fee is tax deductible.
