India will host four prestigious international conferences, such as the India-Africa Forum Summit and the subsidiary SCO Summit in the course of the next three years. The India-Africa Forum Summit in October in New Delhi will be a milestone event, with more than 50 African states and representatives from the African Union participating. It will demonstrate how Africa fits into India’s new foreign policy outlook, clarify to African countries how ‘Make in India’ impacts their economies, and will be an opportunity for both sides to renew development cooperation.
The India-Africa Conclave and other such platforms of interaction have played a pivotal role in engaging Africa with India’s growth story. Various Indian investments in agriculture and infrastructure, totalling over $20 billion, are soon to boost Africa's economies.
