Prime Minister Modi visits Israel

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Israel on July 4 and 5. He met with his Israeli counterpart, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and visited the cities of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa. PM Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Israel. He also called on the President of Israel, Mr. Reuven Rivlin in Jerusalem.

The two Prime Ministers finalized several agreements in the fields of technology, water and agriculture. They discussed the need to counter terrorism that both countries have faced. In addition to this, Modi addressed the Indian diaspora in Tel Aviv and talked about making the process to get OCI and PIO cards for the Indian diaspora in Israel easier.
