Minister of State for External Affairs, General VK Singh is in China on June 18-19 to meet Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi for a bilateral talk and attend the BRICS Foreign Ministers Meeting. This is the run up to the BRICS Summit in September 2017. Other delegates at the meeting include Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, South African Foreign Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, Brazilian Foreign Minister Aloysio Nunes.
There will be several meetings that will take place with different representatives of the BRICS nations as well as their security advisors on various issues before the Summit at Xiamen in September.
