External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj left for Tehran on 16 April for a two-nation three-day visit to Iran and Russia. Following this, Swaraj went to Moscow on 17 April where she participated in the annual Foreign Ministers’ meeting of RIC (Russia, India and China).
The External Affairs Minister took up the death of two Indians in a fire tragedy and the killing of another Indian in that country during her talks with the authorities. Besides attending the RIC meeting, she also had a bilateral meet with her Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
