U.S.-India Think Tank Summit

U.S.-India Think Tank Summit

The Brookings Institution India Center, Observer Research Foundation and the Think Tanks and Civil Society Program (TTCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania organised and hosted the first annual U.S.-India Think Tank Summit in New Delhi, India.

The theme of the summit was Think Tanks, Public Policy and Governance: Ideas, Analysis, Innovation and Impact. It explored the ways in which India’s think tanks are currently making a difference in the country’s economic and social development, and how they can become increasingly relevant and important contributors to India’s future. Manjeet Kripalani, executive director, Gateway House, participated in the summit and was the chair of the session on Bridging the Gap: The Role of Think Tanks.

The Summit included representatives from over 60 Indian think tanks and a small group of think tanks from the U.S., Brazil and Belgium.
