The OECD Emerging Markets Network forum on “Linking India with Global Production Networks” was held in New Delhi on August 5 2015.
Akshay Mathur, head of research, and geoeconomics fellow, Gateway House, attended the Forum.
The conference began with inaugural addresses moderated by Deep Kapuria, Chairman of CII Trade Fairs Council. This was followed by a sessions on the evolution of Global Value Chains, the Challenges and Options that India face with reference to the Make In India programme and Sectoral Trends and Dynamics. The event included speakers from Indian and Global industry as well as Ministry Secretaries and economic experts.
The event was jointly organized by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)
