On March 23, 2017, Gateway House hosted a meeting in collaboration with Institut des Hautes Etudes de Defense Nationale (IHEDN) i.e. The French Institute for Higher Defence Studies. Sameer Patil, Fellow & National Security Studies and Director, Centre for International Security and Sifra Lentin, Adjunct Fellow (Mumbai History) were the two Gateway House experts speaking during the meeting. Sameer Patil gave the Defence and Security Briefing and Sifra Lentin provided information on Mumbai’s historical linkages. The French delegation consisted of Yves Perrin, Consul General, Consulate of France, Nicolas-Dharma Gopala Krishnan, Deputy Consul General, Consulate of France and a group of French experts from the French Navy, Army, Government, Air Force, and other aerospace and defence companies.
