On his second trip to the US this week, Modi will meet Obama to discuss various issues, including climate change and the civil nuclear deal; he will also visit Silicon Valley to explore innovation and social enterprise. Senior leaders from both countries will need to show substantive progress on the promises that were made by President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Modi over the last year.
