World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting

The World Economic Forum’s Annual meeting 2012  will be held in Davos – Klosters, Switzerland from 25 – 29 January. This meeting will convene under the theme, The Great Transformation:Shaping New Models.

“Capitalism, in its current form, no longer fits the world around us. We have failed to learn the lessons from the financial crisis of 2009. A global transformation is urgently needed and it must start with reinstating a global sense of social responsibility,” said WEF Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab said.

The event will be attended by close to 40 heads of state or government and more than 1,600 business leaders, besides social entrepreneurs, young global leaders and representatives from civil society, the media, academia and the arts. Union ministers and several business leaders are expected to attend this event from India.
