The 17th meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member states took place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on October 11-12, 2018. Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who represented India at the meeting, urged the SCO member countries to join hands to address global challenges and highlighted the need to fight terrorism, address climate change and promote connectivity and regional peace. The meeting was also attended by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Chinese Premier Le Keqiang.
