On February 24, Dr. Ganeshan Wignaraja, Professorial Fellow in Economics and Trade at Gateway House, delivered a talk “How Might Indian Aid Be Made Effective for Cyclone Dithwah-Hit Sri Lanka?” at a seminar organised by Research and Information System for Developing Countries on leveraging Indian aid for cyclone-affected Sri Lanka. He recommended India’s constructive provision of essential support for rebuilding Sri Lanka’s economy, sharing policy expertise, and establishing a bilateral safety net, among other measures.
