The national security advisors (NSAs) of India and Russia, Ajit Doval and Nikolai Patrushev met in New Delhi on December 7, 2018 to discuss ways to deepen defence partnership ahead of the Russian defence minister’s upcoming visit to India, especially in the Indo-Pacific region. They also discussed cooperation in outer space, energy and cyber security, as well as joint projects in Afghanistan. Mr. Patrushev also met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
