Gateway House experts Akshay Mathur, Head of Research and Fellow, Geoeconomics Studies; Rajni Bakshi, Senior Fellow, Gandhi Peace Studies, and Sameer Patil, Associate Fellow, National Security Studies, participated in a think tank roundtable at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences(CASS) in Beijing, China.
The roundtable also included delegations from the National Institute for International Strategy (NIIS) and Institute for World Economics and Politics (IWEP), both CASS institutes.
The delegation also met with Li Yang, Vice-President, CASS, and Zhang Yuyan, Director-General, IWEP. Gateway House signed an MOU with NIIS.
The Gateway House experts were part of a delegation of Indian scholars that visited Beijing and Shanghai from 22-28 April, at the invitation of CASS.
The CASS is a state run academic organization and comprehensive research center of the People’s Republic of China in the fields of philosophy and social sciences.
The Gateway House experts were part of an Indian delegation of scholars that visited the CASS and a number of a think tanks and research institutes in Beijing and Shanghai.
