Rajnath Singh visits China

Home Minister Rajnath Singh will be in China from the 19-24 November 2015. His visit is aimed at boosting bilateral security ties and to check the smuggling of arms to militants in India’s northeast.

Singh will spend three days in Beijing before spending the next three days in Shanghai.

In Beijing, He is due to call on Premier Li Keqiang on Thursday and will hold talks with China’s public security minister Guo Shengkun, who is also the state councillor in the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC), a rank above the Minister and other Chinese leaders.

In Shanghai, he would meet the top CPC and security officials and meet the Indian community members.

Rajnath Singh is the first Indian home minister to visit China in over a decade.
