On August 20, 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a two-day state visit to France during which he is scheduled to hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron to strengthen strategic ties in key sectors such as defense, nuclear energy, maritime cooperation and counter terrorism. Prime Minister Modi met with the Indian community in Paris and also inaugurates the Memorial for the Indian victims of the Air India crashes at Nid D’Aigle.
