Maithripala Sirisena, the President of Sri Lanka visited India on 13 May, 2016. He attended a religious ceremony, the month-long Simhastha Maha Kumbh festival, in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Sirisena also met, and held discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit. This was his second visit to India since assuming office in January 2015.
