Modi in a dangerous neighbourhood: Pakistan & China

On June 13, Gateway House hosted a round table discussion with Meena Menon, deputy editor, The Hindu to discuss the challenges of India’s neighbourhood, and the possible direction in which Indian foreign policy under the Modi government should move in.

The discussion was moderated by Manjeet Kripalani, Executive Director, Gateway House.

Meena Menon is deputy editor with The Hindu. She was fornerly its Pakistan correspondent and before that chief of bureau, Mumbai. She has been a journalist since 1984 and has worked with UNI,  Midday, The Times of India and has worked on fellowships from Panos, the Centre for Science and Environment., The National Foundation of India among others and has written and reported on politics, environment, human rights and related issues.

Manjeet Kripalani is the former India Bureau chief of Business week magazine. During her extensive career in journalism (Business Week, Worth and Forbes magazine’s), she has won several awards, including the Gerald Loeb Award, the George Polk Award, Overseas Press Club and Daniel Pearl Awards. Kripalani was the 2006-07 Edward R. Murrow Press Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, New York, which inspired her to found Gateway House.
