The Mayor of London visited India from December 3 to December 6.
He was accompanied by his Deputy Mayor for business, Rajesh Agarwal. In India, the mayor visited Mumbai, Delhi and Amritsar. The central theme of the visited revolved around keeping strong links with Indian cities and London despite Brexit.
During his visit to Mumbai, Sadiq attended the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup.
In Delhi, the mayor along with Bengaluru Mayor, R. Sampath Raj launched ‘A Global Anti Pollution Network’ under the C40 air quality network to tackle rising air pollution.
In Amritsar, he visited the Golden Temple and the Jallianwalla Baug memorial.
