Launch of India-Africa Relations: Changing Horizons

On 20 April 2022, the High Commission of India in Nairobi, Kenya, and the Kenya-India Friendship Association(KIFA), launched the book ‘India-Africa Relations: Changing Horizons’ by Ambassador Rajiv Bhatia, Distinguished Fellow, Foreign Policy Studies.

Ambassador Bhatia delivered the opening address and spoke about his experience writing the book. This was followed by a panel discussion on the contents of the book, with special reference to the Africa policy of India and China.

The Guest of Honour for the event was Dr. Monica Juma, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Energy and Petroleum. The panel was moderated by Dr. K. Ombongi, Chairman-KIFA and comprised Dr. V. Paul, Indian High Commissioner to Kenya; Mr. S. Rao, Former D.P.P., Professor R. Modi from Mumbai; Ms. N. Mboce, a Kenyan advocate and Professor Nzomo from Nairobi.
