On 27 January, 2023, Amb. Rajiv Bhatia, Distinguished Fellow, Foreign Policy Studies Programme at Gateway House participated in a Knowledge Workshop on Prospects in Deep Sea Mining, organized by The National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), along with The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) with support from the Ministry of Earth Sciences. Amb. Rajiv Bhatia, Chair of FICCI Taskforce on Blue Economy introduced the workshop. The workshop was divided into two sessions: Introduction to Deep Sea Mining and Economics & Policy Making.
