Indo-U.S. Strategic Dialogue

The second Indo-US Strategic Dialogue, hosted by External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna, will take place in New Delhi on July 19-23. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will arrive in India on Monday, July 18, to attend the talks and meet with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other senior political leaders. The talks will focus on key bilateral, regional and international topics – Afghanistan, Pakistan, security and terrorism, bilateral trade and energy security are likely issues.

The dialogue will provide both nations the opportunity to track and map bilateral relations and enhance cooperation on regional issues in South Asia. The talk was also preceded by various meetings between Indian and U.S. representatives, to prepare for the dialogue and boost bilateral ties.
