Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj visited Lao PDR on November 22-23, 2018 where she co-chaired the 9th India-Lao PDR Joint Commission Meeting along with H.E. Mr. Saleumxay Kommasith, Foreign Minister of Lao PDR. She met H.E. Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister of Lao PDR whom she assured that India will be happy to assist through soft loans projects aimed at building Lao PDR’s infrastructure including roads, agriculture & irrigation, IT, human resource development and any other sectors.
