India and U.S. held talks on July 12, 2019 in New Delhi. The purpose of these talks was to resolve the mounting trade tensions between the two countries, especially post the U.S. President’s comments on the high trade tariffs.
The senior officials from the Commerce Ministry held talks with a team of U.S. Trade Representative.
This talk marks the first discussion between the two countries on this particular issue, after the meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and U.S. President Donald Trump in Osaka.
