Inauguration of Cross-Border Petroleum Products Pipeline

On September 10, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and KP Sharma Oli, Prime Minister of Nepal jointly inaugurated a cross-border petroleum products pipeline via video conference. The Pipleine is South Asia’s first cross-border petroleum products pipeline from Motihari in India to Amlekhgunj in Nepal through video conference. Prime Minister Modi said that the 69-km Motihari-Amlekhgunj pipeline, will provide cleaner petroleum products at affordable cost to the people of Nepal and noted that regular exchanges at highest political levels have laid down a forward-looking agenda for expanding India-Nepal partnership. PM Oli also invited PM Modi to visit Nepal which he accepted.
