G20 meeting on nuclear safety

G20 meeting on nuclear safety

After the Fukushima daichi nuclear disaster, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) will bring together ministers from the G20 nations to discuss strategies and strengthen international safety standards for nuclear energy.

The two-day meeting aims at reviewing global nuclear safety ahead of a meeting at Vienaa with members of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) towards the end of the month.

Various ministers and nuclear safety regulators will attend the meeting on June 7-8 in Paris, France.
