G20 Leaders' Summit 2018

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina where he announced that India will host the G20 Summit in 2022 to coincide with India’s 75th year of independence.

He held bilateral meetings with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Cyril Ramaphosa, President of South Africa, Emmanuel Macron, President of France, and Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany, among others. He also spoke at the BRICS Leaders’ Informal Meeting.

Prime Minister Modi held two trilateral meetings. The Japan-America-India (JAI) trilateral was held with their heads of state Donald Trump, President of U.S.A. and Shinzō Abe, Prime Minister of Japan. The Russia-India-China (RIC) trilateral was in turn held with Vladimir Putin, President of Russia and Xi Jinping, President of China.
