On December 16, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral talks with former Afghan President Hamid Karzai in New Delhi who was on a private visit to India.
The two leaders discussed strategic bilateral ties, including India’s development assistance and cooperation in other key areas. They also discussed the security concerns in the region.
Modi hosted an official dinner in his honour at Hyderabad House in Delhi. The dinner was attended by National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Foreign Secretary Dr. S. Jaishankar.
