The Indian External Affairs Minister visited Indonesia from 4-6 September 2019 and Singapore from 6-10 September 2019. This was the first visit by a Union Cabinet Minister to Indonesia after the change of the Government in Indonesia. He held meetings with Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Indonesia on bilateral relations and global and regional issues of mutual interest.
During the visit to Singapore, he co-chaired the 6th meeting of Joint Ministerial Committee along with Dr. Vivian Balakrishanan, the Foreign Minister of Singapore. He also met with the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore and attended the Business and Innovation event organized by the High Commission of India to Singapore.
