From November 7 to 18, the 22nd Session of the Committee of Parties (COP) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC) – also known as the COP22 Summit – will take place.
The main agenda of the conference will be how to implement and operationalize the historic Paris Agreement that was adopted at the 2015 COP21 Summit. Having obtained the minimum amount of ratifications needed from 55 countries, the agreement will officially come into effect on November 4.
