On September 11-12, Akshay Mathur, CEO & Director of Research, Gateway House participated in the official BRICS Academic Forum in Brasilia, Brazil organized by the Institute of Applied Economic Research (IPEA), linked to the Ministry of Economy.
He participated in the panel: Challenges for Development Financing in BRICS, coordinated by Ivan Oliveira, Director of International Studies, IPEA. Other participants included: Luciana Acioly, Senior Research Fellow, IPEA; Irina Yarygina, Head of the Chair, “Economics and Banking” of the International Institute of Energy Policy & Diplomacy of MGIMO under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation; Zhu Wenbin, Vice President, Institute of the China Development Bank; Modimowabarwa Kanyane, Human Sciences Research Council.
