Bangladeshi Army Chief General Muhammed Abdul Mubeen’s visit to India is a significant event for the defense cooperation between India and Bangladesh. General Mubeen is scheduled to meet with Indian Defence Minister AK Antony, National Security Adviser Shiv Shankar Menon, and the Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee.
General Mubeen will visit Agra, Jaipur, Kolkata and important training establishments and field formations of the Indian army on his stay from November 28th through December 2nd. This visit relieves any worries that India would have about Bangladesh’s growing ties with China and facilitates future joint counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations.
