Afghanistan’s second Vice President’s visit to India

Afghanistan’s second Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danish visited India from December 9 to December 12.

He met Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on December 12 where they discussed issues relating to cross-border safety, combating terrorism. India also has provided support with food grains via the newly inaugurated Chabahar Port and an increase in air connectivity.

Danish also attended the international conference ‘Harmony and Memorial of Mother Teresa’ in Mumbai. During his visit, Danish also met with the Governor of Maharashtra, Ch Vidyasagar Rao and thanked India for its help in building the parliament building in Kabul and giving scholarships to 5000 Afghani students in Maharashtra. The Governor also called for establishing more air connectivity between Mumbai and Kabul to increase trade and tourism.
