Indian Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman attended the 12th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM) and the 5th ADMM-Plus in Singapore on October 19-20, 2018 where she spoke on the issue of terrorism. The meeting was attended by the defence ministers from the ASEAN countries as well as defence ministers from Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Russia, and the U.S.A.
Minister Sitharaman also met with her Singaporean counterpart, Ng Eng Heng and Mr Teo Chee Hean, the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, on the sidelines of the meeting.
