The Changing World Order: Economic, Political, Security

At the inaugural meeting of the institute, Gateway House hosted Ambassador John Negroponte, the former US deputy secretary of state and a five-time ambassador (Iraq, the UN, Mexico, the Philippines and the Honduras). Ambassador Negroponte also held a Cabinet-level position as the first US Director of National Intelligence. He is currently partner at Vice-Chairman of McLarty Associates, a leading international strategic advisory firm in Washington, D.C., and is a Distinguished Senior Research Fellow in Grand Strategy and Lecturer in International Relations at his alma mater, Yale University

Ambassador Negroponte will be in conversation with Ambassador Neelam Deo, who was, till recently, the Indian consul general in New York. Ms. Deo, an economist from the Delhi School of Economics, has served India as Ambassador to Denmark and Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Niger, as also in embassies in Washington, Rome and Bangkok.

This will be an engaging and wide-ranging discussion on global issues.
