The new government’s focus on boosting FDI into the economy has started gathering steam. The Modi government has a new agenda which aims specifically at roadshows and interactions globally to increase foreign investment. This effort has become all the more crucial because India’s ranking as a favoured destination in foreign direct investment actually dropped from third in 2013 to fourth in 2014 according to the world investment report by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
