Drug legalization: A step closer, but still a long shot

The Global Commission on Drug Policy recently released a report that calls for legalisation of drugs and decriminalisation of drug users in order to reduce drug related crimes. This is a major shift from traditional policy and isn't being received well by several Latin American leaders.

Systems overload: Drug laws and prisons in Latin America

Drug legislation in Latin America hasn't reduced drug related crimes; it has only made prisons overflow. A major change in the approach to this issue is required. The very psychology of drug usage should be reviewed and tackled accordingly.
