Ambassador Aftab Seth
Former Indian Ambassador, Japan

Ambassador Aftab Seth is the Chairman of India Global Link Co. Ltd, Sun and Sands Advisors Ltd. Previously; he was the Indian Ambassador to Japan, Micronesia, Vietnam and Greece. After joining the Ministry of External Affairs of India, he served in the embassies in Beirut, Cairo and Jakarta and, the consulates in Karachi and Hamburg.

Ambassador Seth received a B.A. (Honors) from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University, an M.A. from Christ Church College, Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and a Doctorate of Laws from the American College of Greece.  He also received a certificate of enrollment with distinction in Japanese Language and History from Keio University. He writes extensively and has authored 3 books, including “How Much Weight Can an Elephant Lose?” in 2002 which won the Mahatma Gandhi-Martin LutherKing Daisaku Ikeda Award.
