Visit of the Prime Minister of Italy to India

On 30 October the Prime Minister of Italy, Paolo Gentiloni, landed in India for a two day visit, the first by an Italian premier in 10 years. Gentiloni will be accompanied by his wife and a 15-member delegation, will call on Prime Minister Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu during his visit.

The aim of the visit is to boost bilateral relations between the countries, with a focus on economic and commercial cooperation. Additionally, security and counter terrorism will also be heavily discussed between Prime Minister Modi and Italian Prime Minister Gentiloni.
