The Bhutan Royal Family arrived in Delhi on Tuesday 31 October 2017. The four-day visit saw the arrival of King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck, Queen Jetsun Pema and their son prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck in New Delhi.

The visit comes just months after the border standoff which occurred in the Doklam region when China began developing land Bhutan claimed as its own, subsequently calling on India for assistance.

During the visit, the King will meet President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will host a dinner in honour of the royal family.
