The eighth edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, an annual summit organised by the Government of Gujarat, will be held in Gandhinagar from January 10 to 13. Organised each year to attract investment into the state, the summit this year has 12 partner countries including the U.S., UK, Japan, UAE and others.
The summit will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi. It will see attendance from Nobel laureates and CEOs from 35 international and 23 Indian companies including Cisco, Boeing International, EDF, Reliance, Aditya Birla, Mahindra, and others. Several heads of state are also expected to attend – including the presidents of Kenya and Rwanda, the prime ministers of Portugal and Serbia, and the deputy prime ministers of Russia and Poland.
The theme for this year is ‘Sustainable Economic and Social Development’.
