On 18 May, Akshay Mathur, Director, Research and Analysis, and Fellow, Geoeconomic Studies, Gateway House, was invited to moderate a panel titled, ‘Regional Trading Blocs and the Emerging Trading System’, which was the first session in the World Trade Week series. This panel was organised by the World Trade Centre in association with All India Association of Industries. The panelists were, Dr. Prabir De, Professor, RIS and Co-ordinator, ASEAN-India Centre, New Delhi, Dr. Siddhartha Roy, Economic Advisor, TATA Group and Dr. Rupa Chanda, Professor, RBI Chair in Economics, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. The discussion focused on the changes in the trading system, trade in services, trading blocs and trade imbalances.
