Meeting with U.S. National Intelligence Council

On December 12, Gateway House hosted a senior delegation from the U.S. National Intelligence Council (NIC) to India. The delegation met with Gateway House fellows and explored key themes for the NIC’s Global Trends 2035 exercise and India’s strategic and economic future. The delegation included Suzanne Fry, Director, Strategic Futures Group, National Intelligence Council, Brian Hedrick, Deputy National Intelligence Officer for South Asia, NIC, and Daniel Twining, Senior Fellow for Asia, GMF; former Member of the Secretary of State’s Policy Planning Staff.

The topics on the discussion table ranged from analysis of the future of governance, India’s foreign policy evolution as a great power, India’s potential strategic futures, India’s long-term economic trajectory, the environmental/energy/climate outlook, and the future of China-India connectivity and competition.
