On November 6 India and Bangladesh began their seventh annual Indo-Bangladesh Joint Training Exercise. As part of the efforts taken by both countries to strengthen their bilateral military relationship, this intensive combat exercise at the Counter-Insurgency and Jungle Warfare School at Vairengte in Mizoram will be held. This exercise is titled “Exercise Sampriti” and is aimed at bolstering interoperability between the armies of the countries when conducting counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism operations in a semi-mountainous jungle terrain.
