Afghanistan CEO visits India

Afghanistan Chief Executive Officer, Abdullah Abdullah, is set to arrive in India on 1 February, 2016 as part of a five-day visit to the country.

His visit will commence with a visit to New Delhi where he will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

Abdullah will travel to Jaipur where he will attend the Counter-Terrorism Conference 2016. He will give the keynote address, as well as participate in a panel to share Afghanistan’s experiences.

It is believed that he will have a meeting with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval about the Pathankot and Mazar-e-Sharif attacks earlier this year.

 

India-Afghanistan Bilateral Trade:

Total Bilateral Trade (2013-2014): $683 million

Total Indian Export (2013-2014): $474 million

Total Indian Import (2013-2014): $209 million
